Bradley Miller, MD, PhD
Dr. Bradley Miller is a Columbia-trained and affiliated psychiatrist and neuroscientist who specializes in medication management and talk therapy for individuals with depression and anxiety. He also has extensive expertise seeing patients with bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and adult ADHD. Working in a comfortable setting on the Upper West Side, he maintains a small private practice that allows him to devote a high level of attention to each individual. As an expert in both medications and talk therapy, he can tailor the treatment to your needs. He also provides consultations for people who would like a second opinion on their current treatment.
Dr. Miller uses an evidenced-based approach to both medication management and psychotherapy. He works collaboratively with patients to develop the best treatment plan. When medications are indicated, he monitors treatment response and side effects carefully to get maximal benefit. In psychotherapy, he works with patients using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to understand the sources of their difficulties, and to develop tools to reframe their thoughts and promote more effective and healthy behaviors.
Dr. Miller is committed to improving the lives of his patients and advancing psychiatric care. When he is not in sessions, he works as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University. He leads a laboratory investigating the causes of depression and anxiety with the goal of developing better treatments. He also teaches Columbia University psychiatry residents how to evaluate and treat depression and anxiety.
